QUALIFICATIONS ARE UNIQUE TO EACH OFFICE
If you are interested in running for an elected office, contact our office for the qualifications a candidate must meet to hold the office you are seeking and the fees associated with the office that must be paid at the time of qualifying.

Fees must be paid by cash, a bank certified check, or a USPS Money Order.
WAIVING QUALIFYING FEES
Nominating Petitions can be downloaded from the Secretary of State website. There are strict guidelines that must be followed when submitting a Nominating Petition, so be sure to read the Guidelines for Qualification/Nominating Petition.

If filing a Nominating Petition, the candidate must contact the Registrar of Voters Office (at (337-721-4000) for information on deadlines to file Nominating Petitions.
