ATTORNEY'S OFFICE HAS NEW ADDRESS / CONTACT INFO / STAFF
Submit a request letter which contains the following elements:

New Address / Contact Info (In BOLD)

List of ALL attorneys & Bar Numbers in the firm who will be affected by address update

Name/Phone Number/email of individual who will verify over phone/email
Updates are ONLY made in general billing/invoicing database.
ATTORNEY'S OFFICE HAS NEW ADDRESS FOR SPECIFIC SUIT/CASE
Submit a request letter which contains the following elements:

Old Address / Contact Info

New Address / Contact Info (In BOLD)

Name/Phone Number/email of individual who will verify over phone/email

List of all affected suit numbers

Name(s) of attorney(s) & Bar Number(s)
Updates are general entries for billing/ invoicing databases ONLY and DO NOT AFFECT NOTICES.
NOTICE ADDRESSES ARE NOT UPDATED UNLESS UPDATED IN SUIT: The Suit Dept. is REQUIRED to serve notices at the addresses listed in the body of the suit/motion.
CUSTOMER HAS NEW ADDRESS / CONTACT INFO IN CIVIL CASE / TO AVOID BILLING ISSUES

Updates are ONLY made in general billing/invoicing database.
CUSTOMER HAS NEW ADDRESS / CONTACT INFO IN CRIMINAL CASE
Parties who are defendants in CRIMINAL CASES are responsible for notifying the Calcasieu Parish Sherriff's Office at 337-494-4571. The Clerk's office does not accept change of address for criminal defendants.
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR ADDRESS UPDATE REQUEST:

Email Subject Line: ADDRESS UPDATE / Name of Firm or Atty Name

Sender's identity will be verified via phone or email
-
If sender's identify can not be verified, then request will be denied, and sender will receive notice of denial.

If attorney's name is summited without Bar Number, the request will be denied, and the sender will receive notice of denial.

Sender will be emailed a confirmation that "Address Update" email was sent to staff.

We no longer accept fax requests. Mail in requests will be accepted until June 30, 2023.
